Iaorana e te tuahine here i teie avatea
We are home safe after our wonderful trip. It was more than we could have ever imagined. Nehenehe roa te fenua o a tupuna tuahine. The fenua, motu, moana, ta'ata, vaahi, kaikai, activities, services, resort, transport were absolutely amazing, breathtaking and unforgettable.
We praised your name several times a day, everyday - "mauruuru roa Lola!" because our experiences were exceptional. We couldn't have dreamt of a more perfect return to the fenua of our tupuna. Our lives have been enriched in a way we never thought could have. Spiritually and culturally we have been nourished. Tears fell freely at the marae Taputapuatea, leaving Porapora and lifelong friends and Papeete. Even now we are still overwhelmed and tears flow on. All four of us have you to thank. We love you.
Raiatea realised some of our known traditions and we connected with the fenua and the vai. Our guide, Heimao (Mona Wong) was a gem. He gave us real accounts of our connected histories, values and beliefs. At 75 years old, his memories reflected on hundreds of years. We were captured by his accounts and strong beliefs in our tupuna's crusades. We were very humbled to have had him as our guide. Opoa Hotel was unique, exquiste and surreal. Just us four there too. Cottages were first rate, site was pristine and the food 'monamona' divine. First time French cuisine for us and we took photos of each dish. Tane, their assistant manager took great care of us and we now Facebook each other. The visit was perfect.
Le Meridien Porapora was heaven on earth. The resort itself is so so beautiful. Our Villa and OWB were beyond our expectations - VIP indeed. But the people, the local maohi staff went over and beyond. We connected like feti, like family. Their generosity, humility, excellent servcie, care and kindness was befitting of Kings and Queens. We were spoilt, fussed over and treated with utmost respect by everyone. We had many laughs together, learned both maohi and maori languages from one another and got on like a house on fire. Our interaction with them was enjoyable and special. We have exchanged addresses and opened our homes to each other. We will be sending some music Cd's of maori artists. Even the Jet Ski guide, Tamatoa, the Shark and Ray team at Teiva tours and Julie from the Turtle sanctuary were beautiful people. It was the people that warmed our hearts and made this trip unforgettable. If you make contact with Le Meridien Porapora please pass on our appreciation to their staff. We'll be back!
Papeete was very different from the outer islands, but gave us our shopping experience and a fantastic cultural show. The market was great and we bought pearls, pareo, oils and souvenirs to bring home. Returning business class topped it off.'
So tuahine, we wanted to express our gratitude to you by giving you a brief note of our life changing experience that you so thoughtfully planned for us - including the weather ! We love you for what you have given us. Mauruuru roa tuahine. Ua here matou i a oe xox. We'll be in touch again for sure :).

We want to express our gratitude to you for helping us make our honeymoon to be unforgettable! I even forgot about our ceremony!! It was so peaceful, like we were right on the edge of the world and nobody could violate our privacy.. Stunning colour of water, luxurious bungalow and nice food - we can't imagine any better!
Thank you very much for your assistance, we very much appreciated that. Any chance we have to visit this magic place again, we will.
